I’m bearish on #America in a long run! I might have a kid(s) born here but I wouldn’t want to become 🇺🇸 citizen!

What would change your mind to make you a USA bull?
Idk 🤷♂️ I feel like this country build on spooks and control and taxes! For example my mother said today I never seen so many surveillance cameras on the streets(kind like China vibes) Also, Julian Assange #[3] and Ross are the great example that America is broken. As of right now I haven’t found the better place in the 🌍 to live but definitely I will not be a 🇺🇸 citizen !
Come to Japan. It’s not perfect but way more calm.
Ngl that metal gear dude kinda cute
I definitely need to travel more to discover places and have comparison. But I can’t rn cause of my documents:/
I wish I could have seen Costa Rica
With several of the people here on Nostr. It is on my short list.
El Salvador is also there, but is a long shot because it seems like a single, charismatic point of failure.
I like the Free Cities concepts in places like Panama, Nicaragua, and Guatemala…but feel those countries could void agreements with regime change.
We thought about checking Cabo again this year - because we always love visiting Mexico - but their talk of joining BRICS concerns me.
Really want a country that accepts Bitcoin in a circular (parallel, if necessary) economy.
I like the idea of Central/South America because of time zone overlap with the US…we have kids and grandkids here.
My wife has trepidation on leaving our lives here, but I keep discussing the continued infringement on our liberties as well as them trying to lock us into the fiat system of everything (finance, healthcare, nutrition, pharma). Eyes wide open! Worked too hard for them to inflate our purchasing power away, freeze our assets because of our opinions, etc.
Central/South America will be a good choice once I will be able to own and carry guns ! El Salvador is good but I feel like it’s a trap as of right now!
? Trap¿
Not organic 🤷♂️
Canada as become a trap. Many ppl are telling me they will move back soon. India, South America and Africa
I wouldn’t mind visiting Africa, but wouldn’t live there. Not interested in Europe because they are even more broken with financial system, lockdowns, hate speech/censorship.
Same goes for what we saw out of Australia and New Zealand the last few years…and Canada.
Yes there is the matter that I take home security seriously…so the country would need to permit personal firearms (no, I have no high capacity firearms). Heck, I still like to hunt (as well as shake my rancher’s hand) to stay away from the hormones and crap they feed CAFO
animals.
Oh, and beaches are great, but I gotta have tennis courts (and preferably someone to teach). And the wife needs pickleball…first world problem, I’m sure.
Problem is so far I have seen that seemingly all south and central american countries have draconian gun restrictions. Until that is changed somewhere AND a significant portion of the population gets armed, will remain USA remains in a league of owns despite the taxes and corruption
Not what I wanted to hear. I'll definitely be researching Central/South American countries, and that will be one of the criteria (along with Bitcoin acceptance, stable government, decent internet speeds...and did I mention tennis/pickleball?)
Guess I should start learning Spanish. Took it in high school...and college...never put it into practice, though. I keep telling my wife she will be my translator - with all of her Duo Lingo consecutive days - she's not having it.
It will be very hard to find a US alternative. There is nothing quite like it!
Where else do you go?
