One thing that I think that would make a good use for a nostr app is a 3d models database. Something like thingiverse or printables, but with no middleman, and you could zap the content creator directly.

I'm sure that someday we will have it.

Yes, you can definitely write directly on the app you using!

The apps I am collecting in this explore page, well most of them at least, have direct compatibility with Nostr so for some content such as long form blogging, you can log into them via your Nostr credentials and then it all Interoperates easily and cohesively.

I am not a dev, just a super fan of technology and the devs who are actually building all of these amazing tools in the Nostr ecosystem.

They inspired me to curate a list of sites and begin building whynostr.com in order to help #grownostr in the way I could.

Here is an application to delete events, but because of the way Nostr events are broadcasted to many relays across network, it may be hard to permanently delete a note from every relay everywhere.

To use the site below you need to have a browser extension installed (see photo below for list). These browser extensions are a tool that help you log in to different sites with your Nostr credentials while still helping to keep them safe. (Note: keep your nsec key private, think of it like a password and do not paste or type it into websites.)

I like Alby on desktop and Nostore on iOS.

Also, some clients support delete. I think coracle.social does off the top of my head, maybe snort.social too?

Nostr is fun since it is an open protocol, each application/client that you use to access the network may be a little different, or way different with support feature support.

And you can choose which clients/apps/features suit you best.

Is it possible to bookmark or save posts here? Frustrating on Twitter to search bookmarks. This an example of a post I'd like to save and revisit when I get home.

Yes, you should be able to add a bookmark.

What client are you using?

If Damus click on three dots at top right of note, and click add bookmark.

Yes, should be in there somewhere. Amethyst has lots of features and gets good praise by other users so you should be good there!

Can you add a ‘newly added’ to the drop-down, that just shows the latest 20 or so apps you’ve added?

I’d like to check back in and see if anything interesting has been created since last time.

I will investigate, I like that idea.

I am not sure how to implement that automatically, but I could have a recently added tab and then rotate out stuff once it's been a certain period of time. With that type of setup though it would be aribirtrary for users visiting and the recently added actually syncing up with their last visit,

Oh yeah I wouldn’t worry about syncing up with last visit as long as it’s in order, with newest on top.

I’d be happy scanning down the list until I get to some that are familiar.
