It's the other stats I'm a bit worried about.

Mostly weekly active users. Not sure how relevant that info is though.
Those metrics will always be skewed and we'll never really know. Most people here have probably created half a dozen keys or more with profile data testing out nre clients. I know I have. I think the amount of profiles with Lightning addresses is probably more accurate. While not everyone uses Lightning, people testing clients have probably setup Lightning on some profiles. Those two may even out somewhat.
I can’t figure out how to set up a lightning address. Just a lightning invoice that expires after a few days.
At relay operators the only one with this info? Or you just scrape public Nostr zaps and accumulate them yourself?
Zaps and all Nostr data are public. Anyone can query relays and obtain this information.

Thats what true decentralization does tho, eth and so on have like over 50% of their “nodes” run on AWS and in america. Ive been discussing this with sovereign tribal governments in america. I dont think anyone has true jurisdiction over anything thats digital or data thats only in one place for seconds. Lmao i dont want to take you down a rabbit hole but i am exploring tethering true decentralization like BTC and pairing it with true sovereignty that tribes in america currently have and operate inside. Its gonna be a beautiful thing. When the general public joins, I'll get left in the dust like with everything else because I don't spend all day online or provide any sort of actual value to the nostr protocol/network. I'm just here because I know bitcoin is the future and to brighten up folks days with a few⚡️.
