Heard this is the best noob easy one but haven’t received my order yet so cannot attest myself

The rak board package is the best.

I ordered a Station G2 for the house. https://wiki.uniteng.com/en/meshtastic/station-g2

Haven’t ordered or built yet but the wisblocks are a low power draw.

This guy seems to be building some decent ones with better antenna’s.

I will put up a node eventually.

Depends on what you want to do with it.

You can get a pair of lillygo echo with a paper screen for pikeb70 bucks on amazing. They are decent, good battery life.

If you want to mess around with meshtastic and reflash to try Reticulum, you'll need different boards.

I bought this bad boy, then added a better antenna. Quite happy with it.

Does your wife enjoy devices all over the house as much as I do? Lol

I do keep them contained to my home office, so there's that.

lol I’ll send photos when I get home

I have a RakWireless modular one with PoE for my home node. I like that set up because it’s easy to build on top of. I haven’t 3D printed a case for it yet but I did get a huge 12dbi antenna for it.

I also picked up the WizMesh Pocket from RAK and it’s great if you’re looking for something plug and play that also allows you to pop it open and develop it further in the future if you want. I use it as my daily driver and it’s nice, but it’s a bit dorky to carry around since I upgraded the antenna.

I recently ordered a bunch of SenseCAP Meshtastic devices to give to my friends, and I’ll probably keep one for myself because they are so small, look slick, and are water resistant.

If I were starting over, I would buy the SenseCAP one and build from there. It’s a simple one to use as a daily driver while you figure out how deep you want to go. šŸŒøšŸ¤™šŸ»

Buy something from this page and flash it with the webflasher.
