Essentially same use case as an open dime, but reusable: offline sats that can be physically exchanged without necessarily moving a UTXO

Ex:

The year is 2035. I put 100K sats on a satscard.

I go to the car dealership, and pick out my favorite luxury vehicle.

I hand the salesperson my satscard; they scan it to verify the amount is accurate, and I drive away with the car.

That 100K satscard can be passed to the next user, or it can be “unsealed” and deposited into the business’ wallet address.

Also makes for a great gift without needing to see/scan the receiver’s address

nostr:npub1qfkcklnmes45z75y7y8dkud5yll8vp5eq5ysk9rmgqdxeasv8unsrfj6kq so what would a merchant/retailer need in order to accept payment by SATS card? NFC?

Nunchuck Wallet is the go-to app to check a balance on a sats card

Can you only buy them from

Coinkite?

Believe so, but there may be other authorized resellers out there

Can you fill all 10 slots at the same time or 1 out of 10 at a time?

One at a time, I believe - you need to “unseal” one to prepare another, but I’m not 100% sure

Ok thanks. I’ll probably get a coupling and try them out 🙏
