Watching millennials lineup 20 deep at the self checkout when the staffed registers are open never ceases to amaze me.

I would always rather checkout with a human...
Do your thing, of course, but when you could walk a few more feet, smile at another human, and save 10 mins… it’s a win in my book.
Plus, Publix has installed cameras on all the self checkouts. No, thanks.
Always have friendly interactions with the person I’m checking out with … it adds a nice human touch to the experience. If I’m just buying like three things, then sure, I will use self checkout but I prefer a human interaction…
