Christine Lagarde announced that the EU is getting ready to launch its EURO #CBDC which will include a form of digital cash. This signals an imminent attempt to phase out banknotes in the EU zone.

And of course they wiped out CEX traded Monero along the way and are taking a variety of measures to gain fuller control of the internet and weaken encryption. I wonder what happened to their push to have their own illegal to remove root certificate as well. That one would in principle empower them to spy on and alter any web traffic they wish.
