How can you reach past 50 and not think you've had enough?

I'm getting tired of all this shit. I think 40-50 years is long enough not to turn into a grumpy old man who's seen it all second and third time around.
I think death and oblivion are great things to appreciate.
It's important, though, that at the end of the universe some asshole doesn't hit the restart button.
