I would say no. Portable to me just means you’re carrying your radio somewhere on your person to operate somewhere.

(As opposed to mobile, which seems to mean your radio is in a vehicle.)

Whereas Meshtastic is a low power radio system with cool capabilities that could be in a fixed position, portable, or mobile. 😀

Thanks for the clarification. I got a meshtastic device (lilygo t-echo), but I haven't really unlocked it's potentially yet.

I've tried two antennas, but positioning may be the larger issue. Do you think this antenna would give me better results?

I don’t know, but from what I’ve read, people using Meshtastic tend to not have other Meshtastic people within range.

That seems to be the largest issue I’ve read about.
