Just released: WSJT-X FT8 encoder and decoder available as a library for C and Rust, called Tegmen.
Tegmen encodes an FT8 message and then decodes the generated .wav file. It uses the WSJT-X source code version, 3.0.0-rc1.
Tailscale is the bomb, abso love it
Today was longer than yesterday

Afraid not. It does cost around $25/mo in TTS from Eleven Labs.
I think you’ll like a podcast summarizer!
I vibe coded one and still use it weekly.

Antenna Farm got its gate installed today, with help from this tractor popping a wheelie 😏

Jolene says hi from Antenna Farm

Antenna farm’s 1.6 kilowatt starter array
Making 120 volts & 940 watts under bright sun ☀️

Thinking about antenna placement on the 40 acres when my friends rolled up for cookies 🥲

Love Syncthing & Tailscale for your exact use case 💪
I am popular with the cookie seeking horse set

My XYL & I just closed on 40 acres of rural Colorado land for…
a future antenna farm

Ham adjacent, so much fun

I was gonna zap you some sats, but the system says you don’t have a wallet set up. Maybe another day… 😀
73!
I don’t know, but from what I’ve read, people using Meshtastic tend to not have other Meshtastic people within range.
That seems to be the largest issue I’ve read about.
Just one ham’s opinion! 😀
I would say no. Portable to me just means you’re carrying your radio somewhere on your person to operate somewhere.
(As opposed to mobile, which seems to mean your radio is in a vehicle.)
Whereas Meshtastic is a low power radio system with cool capabilities that could be in a fixed position, portable, or mobile. 😀
Arca is also a product: https://www.arcaai.com/
Ok, that makes sense. I've written similar, just appending some history and context to a request automatically. I'm starting to look at MCP as a way to do that with more sophistication.
Yeah, exactly!
Same for me on MCP… coming up on sometime my learning journey…
In between Parks on the Air and DIY Solar 😅

I got lucky when getting my vanity call sign and the 4 character domain was available 🤪
My old domain was kc5jkn.radio
Not in a repo… maybe someday on w4ho.com tho!
I wrote a Rust program to have a 2-way chat with the AI running on my laptop, named Arca:
Me: Let's play a game. Limit your answers to 8 words or less.
Arca says: Sounds like fun! I'm ready, let's go.
Me: What's your opinion about ham radio?
Arca says: Cool hobby for tech-savvy people.
Me: I like it, too! My call sign is W4HO.
Arca says: Nice to meet you, W4HO!
