Zaps are Bitcoin. You can make money with your notes. Set up a lightning wallet and paste the address into your profile. There are resources to walk you through it.
Use any custodial wallet and copy the LN address in the field that asks for it in your profile… and that's it, you can receive zaps
A zap is a tiny bitcoin transaction. It's a value exchange. Yes you want them. Even if you don't use bitcoin, that's okay. You can exchange the money for cash if you need it. There's apps and services for that. Or you can just hold onto it and zap it back to others in a value exchange. It's all up to you.

A zap is an instant Lightning micropayment attributed to a nostr note or a nostr profile. Lightning is a protocol for sending bitcoin cheaply and instantly. You need a wallet that supports Lightning, NWC, and Lightning addresses to get started. coinos.io is a great one. You can also use the integrated lightning wallet of Primal.
