Relay management
I still have no idea how to manage my nsec. I want to use different apps clients desktop and mobile but I’m afraid of putting in nsec
On desktop, I use the Alby browser extension to sign into all of the various apps -- https://getalby.com
There are other extensions you can use also like Flamingo, etc.
Zero issues for me, but I'm not the one to answer this (too used to bleeding edge tech)
If I did answer, it'd say a general reliability improvement from clients. This is expected though imo

Sure. Long time user of Damus.
Before;
- notes wouldn't load as fast
- notes would appear/disappear
- not many features
- could easily zap! (This is not Damus' fault now of course)
Now;
- works like you would expect
- almost zero lag
- easily find notes*
- overload of features
- many many new clients to switch between
*best that search can be on Nostr for now
Yes I would say relay management and understanding the mechanics. And first I made my zap-wallet becaus I was thinking it is obligatory to use nostr.

How are you thinking about it for your relay?
How do you think app devs should think about this problem?
I use noteguard, for now it’s fine. Let’s see how this web of trust will develop. I have 5k+ simultaneous connections and more them 10gb traffic per hour, soon I need to see how to keep things not getting wild
Relay management and the user experience surrounding it sucks.
No clue to easily see which are paid, WoT, geographically located, etc. Moreover, how to connect/join those that require membership.
Lightning. Everyone warns you to learn to self custody to reduce your risk of being rugged, but the options for self custody of lightning are not great. So you choose something like Wallet of Satoshi, and things seem ok. But people still tell you to be careful. So you are like wtf. Then WOS bails on the US, and you are like wtf again.
So you try Primal. And you pay a 30% premium for the privilege. Then you realize you are stuck there, then Primal becomes unusable so you come back to Damus.
Damus can’t do zaps unless you install a 3rd party script which nobody knows about. And you still haven’t solved the custody issue.
I’m more bullish on cashu at this point.
Profile metadata setup and relay discovery. The former was solved with dev time and the latter with nostr.watch . More WoT or topical relay suggestions would be awesome to see on client onboarding flows.
