That is a cool idea. Especially with clients that allow quick filtering oh which relays you are writing to / reading notes from.

VERY interesting! It would be great to see this as an easy to deploy #docker package and a snazzy UI so those with a #NAS can easily install their own and invite their friends. I think it will help grow #Nostr and make it more distributed / decentralized.
Small isolated relays that develop unique culture and mores is how I always perceived nostr when more mature.
There has been a subtle centralizing Twitter like effect where everyone is connected and sharing a unified sub global over a dozen or so relays.
I really do see familial, friend, private & topical relays taking shape. Switching between relays to interact more or even using a single client with a single npub on a single relay.
The point is not to fomo but rather create your own worlds.

Interesting. It just hit me that relays could work a bit like some private torrent trackers, including earning additional invites when you reach milestones, activity, etc.
