Developing the Bitcoin stack is hard enough being permissionless and inclusive. You rightly recognize the inherent challenge of building permissionless, inclusive systems. Introducing the ECB's extensive selective controls and kill switches on top would create an engineering nightmare, truly alien to the Bitcoin protocol’s foundational spirit.
