Yes it was hyperbole. But even that, most people are not going to install something that’s not from the play store. And most people are not going to switch OS simply for one app. It seems contradictory to hear people advocate for openness and choice, but then say it shouldn’t be advocated for on Apple devices. 🤷‍♂️

Advocate away, I too like to fart in the wind.

I will advocate for people to ditch their closed source phones for open source ones.

Please bring nostr to Linux phones like pine and librem5

I understand your point but I've been having this argument with Apple users for 13 years now. Apple doesn't change for anyone. They don't need to change until people speak with their wallets.

Is the public at large going to continue using Apple devices? Do those people deserve access to Nostr and Lightning apps? If the answer to those questions is “yes” then turning this into an Android evangelistic tent meeting is pointless and missing the bigger picture.

The only way to change Apple is to hurt their sales numbers. Everything else is just noise for them as they laugh all the way to the bank.

Besides, the people that need bitcoin and nostr most in the world use cheap Android devices. This argument is very first world.

The first world deserves Nostr and bitcoin too. Even on Apple. Please stop this pointless debate.

And if the first world wants to use it, they can with plenty of options out there. No one is forcing you to use Apple. I don't understand why you're defending a company that clearly hates freedom.

oh no, I hate Android more from where I live because many of them are forced by big brothers to install spying wares🤢

He defends the same as the company that’s why
