As a former Google+ influencer 🤣 YES PLEASE!
Google+ was a trip
G+ was where we went to make new, interesting friends.
Facebook was where we went to hate the people we already knew.
Circles were the perfect way to organize content and feeds.
Google Plus was always crap. It died for a reason.
I’ve seen a lot of FOSS people claim it was actually good once you invested time in it. Maybe it just wasn’t marketed well.
🤷 circles was good functionality.
I'm not trying to resurrect it. Just that feature.

Google+ died after Vic Gundotra left. It no longer had an internal champion and went stagnant. PRIOR TO THAT, Google+ has more DAU than Twitter. It was incredibly successful in the beginning. Get off my lawn. 😉

I liked G+. It was home.
Some of the best folks I know on FB are from my G+ days.
Nostr is feeling like the home I haven't had in years.
Circles just seem right. Without Google.
There has been better alternatives for years ya know
I've tried a few.
Never felt right. Never got critical mass.
Ended up back on Twitter because that's where the Bitcoiners lived.
Never seen Bitcoiners go en masse anywhere, until now.
Not even mastodon, etc.

I had friends around the world. Wonder what ever happened to that doctor in Iraq. 🤔
I still talk to some Google+ friends on other social networks. Many of them left Twitter for Mastodon over the last 6 months or so.
g+ was cool but boring maybe because there was a lot of white empty spaces on the page, no dark mode at that time
