Mfw I open a Nostr app and brace myself for it to start downloading a gazillion things, with everything shifting around, so that I can't click on anything until it's done, 5 minutes later, even though I know exactly what I want to access when I open it.

It reminds me of Windows 98-XP. I could never understand why MS would display the desktop before it can be used.
Why I still think were going to have servers do this for us and just send our client devices the details they need as the need them. REST FTW
