i'm not sure how you dried them but the decarboxylation of the ... i forget what it is, muscarinic acid? which is a bit toxic and unsettling, if you keep it warm like around 80'C. i personally never ate it, and i know that if you eat it fresh, the effects are not strong and there is a bit of nausea, and as you probably know, the active alkalaids are excreted in the urine, but keeping it quite warm for some hours as it dehydrates works too.
the extraction of it is probably easiest to do as a tea with some vinegar or lemon juice, to help ensure that all of the alkaloids are pulled out of the solid material
