MLS is also "trust my bro" privacy no?
Discussion
what's "trust me bro" privacy? that seems like a paradox.
does this blog make any sense
https://www.poberezkin.com/posts/2025-08-12-mls-the-naked-king-of-end-to-end-encryption.html
how I read it:
- the article seems kinda moot bc it basically says "the mapping from phone number to pubkey is trusted". we know that, every messenger using phone numbers has that problem and it's not related to MLS
- white noise is explicitly mentioned as not having this problem bc it has no phone numbers

pls sirs, form an MLS nostr committee and make everything interoperable
0xchat interops with chachi, since they follow nip-29.
I donβt know what whitenoise is using though.
Nostr MLS naturally addresses this issue by using the Nostr public key itself as the authentication mechanism. So this issue does not exist in the 0xchat-lite version or in WhiteNoise.
