Why is it so difficult for people to understand that any additional regulation is bad for consumers? It just helps the large companies who can afford to comply, hurts completion, limits options, degrades experiences due to lack of options and ultimately boxes people in without any choices left to make.

Can we frame survey questions like this next time instead of “do you want to protect children online?”

All working exactly as intended

ew

your thinking cpu is still working

time to regulate you

That line of questioning will get you in trouble

You're assuming a survey gets taken 🤔 😬

I’m not assuming anything. Rhetorical question.

Lol 😁

Then i stand by my Rhetorical answer 🤣

The Gestapo prefer the last qsn as it helps to advance their agenda

I do technical writing as a freelancer, the first thing you learn when writing any sort of manual is that people don't think unless they absolutely have to.

Politicians and law makers know this and exploit this vulnerability by choosing the most advantageous framing for themselves when talking about laws, so the person who is busy and just going on about their day, can hear the bare minimum details and become a supporter. Afterall wbo doesn't want to protect children?

Rhetorical question

In some cases, regulation is good; I am sure you would not want to buy dirty pillows that aren't sanitized, and could make you sick.

consumer, non critical software is another story.......

Yes

Because that's not actually the case?
