Idk, I'm not sure there is any real security benefit to android over ios at all. In completely default form, android might be worse. Graphene is basically the only better option.

Android is open source. The google ecosystem is not.

You can use android without google, thats why there are custom roms like LineageOS available for free.

Dont contfuse Android Open Source Project with the official google version.

Still the best usable mobile operating system around in terms of transparency if you use a custom ROM stripped of all the google stuff.
