Those who ignore Bitcoin will eventually regret it and end up giving blood sweat and tears, and their gold, to get it. It's economics. This whole "grid down" scenario is not fully thought out. Bitcoin is already being mined and used in "off grid" energy pockets. In a "grid-down" scenario, it won't be ALL grids. If an EMP hit half the country, there will still be functional grids in the other half, let alone through the world. I think micro grids would spring up and as long as multiple computers exist and run, there will be networks. In any scenario where we are alive, computers and networks will exist. If they don't exist anymore in any meaningful capacity, we're all probably dead already. #bitcoin
I totally agree. And yes, we can’t rule out the possibility of a global nuclear strike but as you said, in that case we would be probably all dead anyway.
Much more pressing concern to me is a guerilla style of warfare with the tyrannical government. And in that case Bitcoin will be our best ally.
Yes, ecash over Lora would be useful when the grid goes down. And, for bonus points defeat the "what happens when they turn off the Internet" boomer fud.
