Cool. I have been using wormhole for this. It works, but I don't really understand how it works well enough to trust it.

wormhole is a great idea but super impractical UX and doesn't have a persistent network of devices. Its basically the first building block of what ought to be there, but never actually fully realized the possibilities or maybe just never saw the exact problem it should've solved, imo.
