Today I'm putting together a tutorial on nostr:npub1dx5q2el8nd4eh3eg9t2e25fd7zuqg7zxz6ldkc3uzgh66ss2yc6st288sj - ecash integrated with lightning and nostr. Anything in particular you guys would like me to include in the video?

been looking for a good one - thank you in advance

Can you break it down like you're explaining it to a 5-year-old please

What’s the significance of using it as opposed to lightning?

I'M WAITING BUT EXPECTING šŸ¦—šŸ¦—šŸ¦—

I would say ecash is a decent alternative to custodial lightning. Reason being is that the mint has no idea who owns what, vs custodial lightning providers knowing the balance of each user.

Even upon withdrawal to an external lightning wallet, there's no way to know which user sent the transaction, so you're kind of hiding in the crowd of everyone in a particular mint.

Where can I get more information about ecash? Any tutorials about how it works? Thanks

I've made a couple but I would probably just wait for this new one to drop tomorrow. It will be much simpler to get started with an easy mobile app.

Thanks Ben!

Check. DMs. 😊

How we can easily find and rate public mints.

a ā€œdeez nutsā€ meme

I’ve been curious if cashu/ecash can be used to improve privacy. I know using tokens is much more private than lightning, but more so I’m curious if converting sats to tokens and then back to sats breaks any prior kyc links. Like would you get your same sats back or perhaps someone else’s??

Yes like what's the point of it.

If requires a third party (albeit you can run your own)?

If that third party goes down you lose it all?

Another vote for explaining it as if to a 5yo!

The advantages, the various use cases, as well as the usual how-to.

Love your videos, Ben! 🤩

Anything at this point would be helpful! I got me some eNuts and wonder what I do next with me nuts.

I'd like to know under what use-case the tokens are actually anonymous, in particular the case of a low volume mint.

Also, how does the token claiming&re-minting process work in regard to maintining anonymonity.
