They are not trying to find a problem. They are simply pointing out that if Core makes a specific change for which they have not demonstrated is in the best interest of node runners and Bitcoin the monetary network as whole, then the very predictable outcome is that spam including contiguous blobs of CSAM will forever be on the chain. This introduces obvious risks to individuals seeking to be sovereign and run their own node. All Core has to do is not make these contentious changes. I don’t think you really understand what is being advocated for.
