#[1] Thank you so much for your question 💖
The way we work with the cards varies from person to person. There are few absolutes, but I personally feel strongly there is no “right way” to practice.
I’ve found the work of Lindsay Mack (https://www.lindsaymack.com) invaluable in my own practice. Her work helped me get past the “fortune telling” to access the medicine I believe tarot can offer, especially those of us who are neurodivergent or survivors of abuse.
I’ve also found it helpful to consider some of the work of Sarah Faith Gottesdiener (https://moon-studio.co/pages/about). Her work is a bit less tarot-centric and has helped me place some interpretations in a broader context.
I hope this helps. Regardless, I’d encourage you to just start - work with tarot however feels best. You are already sovereign.
