Is systemd pure pain for everyone else, or just for me?

Took me a few years but I'm finally starting to come to terms with it. I'm principally against it though.

yup only pain there.

I always hear people hating on it but I love it

What is it never used it

It's pain until it works, then it just keeps working.

It's fine once you get past the learning curve.

You never gat past the learning curve.

systemd is the pinnacle of init systems.

Gets a lot of hate for being bloated but the fact is it's all opt-in and everything fucking works great and is very well documented.

Already not pain for me ;) I recommend usefull commands:

systemctl cat

... status ...

And then to read manuals

... list-units .... command is useful too

journalctl -u

There are main good commands..
