I hit Tokyo up a few years back but I felt rushed around the exhibit. Managed to buy a book somehow though 😂.

It’s a different experience going to a so called blockbuster exhibition don’t you think.

Ah, I see. Yeah no t, not every Blockbuster Exhibit ( perfect term ) is worth your time. The play with space, proportions, shapes and colours generally impresses in a good way,I guess. Was once in a Anish Kapur Exhibit, waited 30 minutes for a Gun to load with a smelly Resin that was fired up and then stucked clumpsy in a corner ..Laughed loudly, then others laught too.. Went home. Well..

Strange one for me Anish, saw the show felt nothing 😂

I feel like they’re relatively new but also not these shows. Please correct me if I’m wrong here but have we not only had these since the arrival of social media? The fees seem to creep up also.Talk about culture/wealth gaps!

I paid for a ticket in MOMA last year and gave it away walking out. The lady looked astonished I gave it to her and I had no idea why or why others didn’t do the same thing.

Yes, it is often calculated art. Every work by him or his collective is loud and aims for maximum media impact and sharability. It's a bit like AI art, I think. There are interesting extensions of art how we know it today, but also really dull, soulless boring stuff.

Did you got to the Monica Bonvicini ‘I do You’ show in Berlin. I’d really like to go it see it.

Have seen a small selection of her works before. But yeah, love going to exhibitions in Berlin. We have the C/O for photo exhibitions here, for example. I saw Gordon Parks there for the first time and fell in love.

Gordon parks and Bruce Davidson 💜

💯 . Wonderful artists, chronists of their time with a strong visual language and a wise and courageous socio-political standpoint.

You make me think about art even more than I already do.

Also, culture/wealth gaps are a massive thing. Let’s talk about that someday . Great, that you shared your ticket !
