Have you been able to get your best friend to use Nostr or at least check it out? If not, what's stopping them from joining us? How do we make Nostr for besties?

My actual bestie is already here nostr:npub1jrx2fk666k5nt8vgak9xwyxlgcwh8fl9rvpwvvcpdthuqkcnptrqdfhtaq 🥰 but my non-spouse bestie is a stubborn Luddite sort… and that’s something coming from me 😂

She just doesn’t have the bandwidth for more apps, as she puts it. In her case I don’t think she’d try Nostr even if it were extremely user friendly and straightforward to start using.

I also think she’s a bit blackpilled on social media interactions in general. She’s still on Facebook, but I think mostly for the groups. Having something more topical group-focused or group-enabled on Nostr, like Reddit or even Facebook, would be a draw for many people I think (I would also use it heavily)

I agree. I believe communities will be a huge draw for Nostr once we get more clients to support them and also if/when we get private communities.

As for your bestie, that beautiful. I always say that nostr:npub1jrcfyw8n298jf83txvlxzx0w7jtfwqs0j4ha0dnn9ns33hgm209sqejdcc is my best friend. I couldn't imagine anyone else having that role.
