Beware, people could also use that argument to claim that there's no existing precedent for anarchy. I just don't bother trying to convince statists and let them become slaves. That's what they truly want, after all

I agree. That wasn't quite the right reason why the burden of proof belongs to the statists.
The reason is that we all more or less agree on the basic moral precepts, but they claim the state is a "necessary evil". That should not be allowed to be a throw away line. That claim clearly needs to be demonstrated, whereas our adherence to the agreed upon moral rules should be the default.
