Can't I get zapped through Muun wallet? I prefer it over WoS because it is non custodial.

I tried and could not get it to work. You need a lightning address and muun does not give one unfortunately. Alby works and is an alternative to WoS, but as far as I know is also custodial
No it doesn’t work. I have it set up this way, I have my cold storage I use Muun for a general lightning wallet, and use Wallet of Satoshi for zaps.
you need lnurl or ln address which is not the easiest to setup in non custodial way (you would need you own ln node, domain, btcpayserver or something else)
if you want zaps, until you learn how to do the above, use custodial wallets
i am using iris
You can always move sats between wallets if you want to keep them in Muun after getting zapped. Maybe look into running your own node. We have a group of noderunners here who will help you get started.
Hey Daniel. I want to run my own node, just to explore. Should I invest in something like nodl?
I’ve never used Nodl but I’ve heard good things about it. It runs LND which is a common Lightning implementation, and it was built with Samourai technology which is pretty cool. You might want to compare that with Umbrel, MyNode and RaspBlitz to see what you’re most comfortable setting up and using.

Use a real lightning wallet at least. Phoenix and Blixt Wallet are good non-custodial LN wallets.
You can still use WoS to receive zaps and then withdraw to your own LN wallet, but don’t use Muun, it’s terrible and not even an LN wallet.
