NATO was created to control us, not them.
Exactly. And the war in Ukraine is as much a war by US /UK against Germany
Their purpose is to keep the world divided between East and West, Us v. Them. It should have been redefined after 9/11 to be "Nations Against Terrorist Organizations", but that would take brains. Honestly now it's just a repeat of Egypt and their allies fighting against the Sea Peoples at the end of the Bronze Age, and we all know how that turned out.
I think it's a good fallback to launder money to the military industrial complex
