It's still expensive. Drones should be as cheap and simple to produce as possible.
That's why, for example, FPV drones are so popular, as well as rather "dumb" UAVs running on processors that the Chinese use in cheap consumer routers.
Of course, in the next conflict, we can expect swarms of AI drones interacting without operator involvement.
