Spent several hours last night troubleshooting with nostr:npub1vkgj57k30l2u7wave6t4nua75wjylx3nju6qu4vu7pneghwx8zlsf7q4uq but no dice. Pretty sure it’s the NWC link step with Damus. Is there any way to check this or documentation I can read?

Yup. New cashu wallet setup this morning. Using my nsec. My LN matches my npub. I’ve put my cashu address in Damus profile and can receive zaps. When I copy the NWC to paste into Damus it shows Damus relay address? I would expect it to be a cashu relay, no? When I NEC connected to Damus using coinos it showed coinos relay. I’m stumped 🤔 
Have you gone into "Click to enter relays" menu and added wss://relay.damus.io if it's not already in your relay list.

Damn... I'm really scraping the barrel for possible solutions. Have you ever used the Nostrudel web client? It also supports NWC and I'd be curious to know if you can get it working with that. Just to narrow down the source of the problem and determine if the NWC connect string from Cashu Wallet works on another client. If you want to try, just go to nostrudel.ninja and login with your npub and nsec. Then go into the wallet settings and paste your connect string in the appropriate place.
I’ll give that a try later. The whole point of this is to use my client of choice, but I get the troubleshooting redundancy for testing. Meh - this has got to get better if cashu and Damus want to attract the masses. Off to the fiat mines for a while. Cheers!
Yeah, it's only for diagnostics. If it works on Nostrudel, we know the issue with Damus not parsing and interpreting the NWC connect string correctly, and we can loop calle and Will in and see if we can come up with a solution so that it works properly with Damus.
He's using iOS, and Damus. Currently, he's using Coinos, but he wanted to try Cashu Wallet because Cashu has full support for ecash while Coinos only supports minted by it's own mint. You can't redeem tokens from external mints with Coinos, which makes it pretty useless.

Unfortunately, I don't use iOS so I'm limited in how much I can help with Damus or other iOS-specific issues.
That is indeed an issue, but I could see the top of the button enough to hit it and get to the next NWC step. Even when entering the NWC link manually or via QR code it would not work for cashu. Excited you’re working to fix it. Can’t wait to use just my cashu wallet!!
