i like how mutiny calls it “esats” instead of “ecash”. it makes it very clear from a upfront terminology point of view what the distinction of this new generation of ecash is from attempts of the past: it’s backed by sats instead of fiat.

I didn't even know that they supported that.
I'm on the fence with Mutiny..opening channels and closing kinda bothers me. I am on WOS now that is totally hassle free but it's not self custody and also banned in us. What it your experience and may be tips for Mutiny?
đź’Ż yes!
What federation are you using? I looked at it a while back and couldn't find any to test that functionality.

Good call
Can I send esats to anyone? Or does it have to be to another user using a mint? Does it have to be the same mint?
can send to anyone. they need to redeem (or kind of like “claim”) the esats at the mint and can send it out via LN to themselves somewhere else, keep it there.
also if you’re at another mint you like better the mints can swap ecash so that you end up with your preferred ecash
LN makes it seamless to pay anyone no matter what other system their using (Cash App, Kraken, another cashu mint, a Fedimint, a statechain, an Ark wallet, etc.). LN is the open monetary network.
