Hard to make recommendations because we don't have a lot of differentiation yet. nostr.wine is one of the few with some added features (the filter relay).

Have you checked your DMs? Nostr.wine sent a DM when I added the relay with an invoice. worked great for me.

You will not get a DM. On Amethyst, make sure that you have it enabled to READ & WRITE (check the up and down arrows on your relay config page).

You don't need a DM because it automatically checks your pubkey when you send notes.

same for me. and when nostr.eden.land is the only one i activate, my global feed is empty. using ios.

I don't know what kind of filtering Damus does. Can assure you that eden global feed is not empty.
