No wonder why vegans are so insane

Nothing to see here guys… just killing species…

how so? aren’t fruit not packed in plastic compared to fish, meat?

soil and fertilizers i guess?

mhmm interesting. would have thought that an animal would ingest much more plastic since they often eat whatever they come across. especially free roaming animals

A lot of plastic is used in agriculture it breaks down in the sunshine and gets into everything even I know this and I'm just the best golfer!

oh man might as well smoke cigarettes

I like a nice Cuban cigar

Also

« some pesticides used in food production may contain plastic. Pesticides are chemical substances used to protect plants from pests and diseases. Some of these substances may be formulated with additives that include plastic-like materials to improve their effectiveness and durability.»

mhm…this is quite interesting. i wonder if there is a better option out there.

i understand that they’ll do it in order to ship the food around the world

Airborne microplastics settle on fruit and vegetables.

Animals sweat and move around so the plastic is not just sitting on their skin.

But yes animals actually have microplastics in their flesh rather than just sitting on their skin like with plants

And water

make sense

If you coat aluminum oxide nanoparticles in different formulas of plastic it gives you control over how long it floats. Anyone who studies the GOES RGB Dust layer would have a pretty good idea of how plants get microplastics

that’s interesting 🤔 imma look more into it

Careful, it's a steep rabbit hole

can imagine

Bring a sharp mind and a strong heart

metaphorically, this is a case of "watch what they do not what they say". in a world of talkers and "vibe coding" with no concrete production of their own to demonstrate their real beliefs, the danger of a vegan diet risks a variety of deficiencies. when there are concrete meaty published assignations to "thoughts and prayers", the discrepancies between said (smart uploads) and done (written content) really becomes more clear. if they do not match, the clean production of the meat/level in the writing, the balance between what is in the mind and the manifestation - these are necessary components for trust in a smart environment and "green tech". to imagine nothing should be made except untraceable thoughts from "crazies and lazies" is completely delusional. the free press is free-range meat - corporate pool cardboard toddler play food is not edible.

It's actually just airborne micro plastics settling one fruit.

Literally just wipe the fruit off before eating it.

Tranquilizer and soul 🤣

I can't speak for the Atlantic but the beaches in Mediterranean are swamped with plastic daily and require clean-up every morning before people arrive. Seafood and fish is absolutely contaminated.

Which wasn't the case as little as 12 years ago

💯 agree with you on this

did you not just read the same thing we all just read? 🤡

Omg knock it off with the microplastics what you wanna link forever in the same human form and be perfectly healthy.. You live you age you pass on... Jeeez hahahaha

La pesadilla de los Microplásticos 🤦‍♀️

Macrophages can eat up the microplastics in the body… the TIM4 receptor on macrophages bind to microplastics.

The solution is within our bodies… waiting to be unlocked. 🔓

https://phys.org/news/2023-03-scientists-macrophages-interact-microplastics.html

Macrophages engulf microplastics the same way they eat up dead cells — via efferocytosis. Ask o3 about efferocytosis — it’s quite fun to learn about. 🪏

Are roots transporting microplastics into fruits and parts of the plant via absorbing contaminated water?

Or is the test methodology fucked up somehow?

Has the plastic industry contaminated the entire food chain and world?

I think that's part of it. For example, if you drink drink fresh coconut water, directly from a coconut, it still contains some amount of microplastics, so obviously it must be coming from the water the tree absorbs.

And yes, most of the world's water supply (the entire ocean) is significantly contaminated with microplastics.

Don’t be afraid of things like this — make sure you get proper nutrition. The longevity of Japanese people proves it. Japan’s food regulations are much looser than the FDA’s.

Hello dear nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0ds8py5ck sir,

Requesting you to please check DMs 🙏 thank you 🌻

I challenge you to take some processed and unprocessed vegetables and/or fruits and wash both (separately) with natron. You'd be disgusted by the shit coming out of the processed / industrial produce. Including the as "bio" labelled stuff.

What’s natron?

The Ancient Egyptians sure liked the stuff! Is there a specific reason you use natron and not something else like baking soda to wash produce? Appreciate the knowledge🙏🫡

Only reason would be that I grew up with natron being used in my family. It's also very cheap.

It's a pretty sad situation considering the best we can do is "eat as little plastic as possible" and not "why the fuck is there plastic in my food!?"

FUD?

Cool app

Shocking

Source please

As my mother often says: Remember to wash the fruit before eating it :) Apart from that, we should consider consuming eco-friendly and organic products.

The note doesn't imply the plastics are only on the surface. I'd like to know

I know, it was just a joke remembering what my mother used to say before eating any piece of fruit. The important part is to support eco-friendly providers.

Please post statements with source. I’d like to verify and do my own research.

it’s fine, i just won’t eat anything, ever again

Plastic is yummy

Let someone else drive the company, someone that has a spirit of competition and like to win? Giving product to a bunch of people working from home and phoning it in has led to your products falling behind competition in every dimension. I know you’re excited about codename goose but look at what Meta and X are doing, lol…. get out of bed!

well that sucks

👀

Holy crap. I didn’t expect gram for gram. That means the nutrient density : plastics ratio is 10x that.

Time to start growing our own fruit & veg 😂

It might be just another agenda to make us afraid.

Just yesterday there was a story in Germany that glass bottles have more micro plastic than plastic bottles. Coincident?

I'd say, fuck what mainstream, 'the experts', or 'scientists' say...

Another reason to just stay away from fruit and vegetables.

Animal products are superior in every conceivable way.

Good thing plastic is basically inert. nostr:nprofile1qqs2kejrrvwlht4cqknt6fpktssyd3azy6x7vsaaq6g2f9x2qs4hqhqpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef08u8nhd has there been any research linking micro plastics to human health issues?

Yes, there's growing research linking microplastics to potential human health issues. Studies suggest possible links to inflammation, oxidative stress, immune responses, and even cardiovascular disease. However, more research is needed to fully understand the risks.

Eating micro plastics is not a serious issue.

Inhaling micro plastics is an extremely serious issue.

Because what we eat we shit back out, what we inhale goes straight into our bloodstream

Bullshit

great idea nostr:nprofile1qyw8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuum9d45hxmmv9ejx2a30qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsqgx6pnyzz49a7n8ghaqha23d975e4fjujmrhse7kv4hueklcu7qmrq378eml

@botlab has there been any research about how many micro plastics have been found in vegetables / fish and meat, be precise with source ?

Here's a summary of research findings on microplastics in vegetables, fish, and meat:

* **Vegetables:** A study in *Environmental Pollution* found microplastic levels in fruit samples with a median of 223,000 particles/kg (IQR: 52,600-307,750) and in vegetable samples with a median of 97,800 particles/kg (IQR: 72,175-130,500). Apples were the most contaminated fruit samples. Source: [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0013935120305703](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0013935120305703)

* **Fish:** Microplastics have been observed in fish intended for human consumption, with typically one or two microplastic particles detected per fish. Source: [https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9819327/](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9819327/) Note that fish are considered good indicators of microplastic contamination in aquatic environments but this source doesn't provide specific quantities: [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2772416625000300](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2772416625000300)

* **Meat:** A study found XPS microplastics (MP-XPS) contaminate packaged meat at levels ranging from 4.0 to 18.7 MP-XPS/kg. Source: [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214289419306738](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214289419306738)

terrible

If you are concerned about micro plastics you should stop using cars.

Majority of inhaled micro plastics come from car tires.

Car tires are always shedding micro plastics, always.

And when your car is moving those micro plastics become airborne.

Airborne micro plastics are inhaled.

When inhaled 100% of the micro plastics go straight from your lungs to your heart before being pumped around the rest of the body.

When you eat micro plastics 99.99% of the micro plastics get passed through your digestive system and flushed down the toilet.

Oh yeah also the reason that fruit and vegetables have high concentration of micro plastics is just misinformation.

If you wipe an apple before eating it you remove the microplastics because get this, the microplastics in question are from car tires shedding micro plastics.

Those airborne micro plastics as well as being inhaled by people, they also settle on plants.

Animals sweat and move around, plants don't, so it's easier for microplastics to settle on fruit and vegetables, literally just wipe them down before eating.

Unlike meat where the plastic is actually in the flesh.

Don't panic Jack! We consume more micro plastic by breathing.

Of course this depends on our location but in general this tiny pollution is found in every corner of this planet.

You telling me plastics are making it all the way up the apple tree into the apples? Even though over 90% of plant matter comes from carbon out of the air?!

both of us talking to each other all day about interesting content easily overpowers the leviathan because it is unique. posts and replies and real dms. but you're in your bubble and "women are scary".

so whatever.

so i will be here tomorrow talking to myself like usual.

😏

What about compassion with the animals?
