Notedeck is so slick and fast as fuck and I don’t know what to do with myself now, but I’m pretty sure I’m not getting any more fiat mining done today.
Hats off to you nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s 🤝

Ah! lol waiting for when I can use it. I keep getting tease shots from nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s lol
😂
*bats eyelashes* gif (can we use gif’s here?! #asknostr)
Yes
Hmmm how? I can add photos and I can take a photo…
Yes
Paste the gif link into your note (at least if you’re using Damus it should render when you post it).
Just make sure it’s the original URL that ends with .gif and not a link full of tracker/utm parameters (ie all the stuff that comes after a ? in the link that tells Google who clicked it).
Hmmm image only
according to the link it says its a jpg not gif... hmm
Weird let’s try again
I mean that technically works… but you can just save and upload gifs. It works fine.
Notedeck is awesome, feels more snappy then Gossip (which has way more features implemented).
High praise 🙏 thanks! i spent a long time on nostrdb to make sure its as fast as possible
I get complaints about SQLite database speed of my telegram lightning tip bot, takes a minute to respond when it’s busy. Especially when 200 people start spamming faucets like today 😂
nostr taught me that sql is actually slow as balls, or maybe that everything is slower than lmdb
According to benchmarks at https://github.com/fiatjaf/eventstore my LMDB-based store is 4000x faster than SQLite.
Woah. No wonder SQL alternatives have been so popular in recent years.
SQLite has always been nothing but awful to me.
"You don't know how to use it", they say, and now suddently the entire world of web development loves SQLite and is pushing SQLite from many different directions.
But it does look like that if you're trying to access it from multiple concurrent requests it will behave much worse than normally.
