i... disagree 😁

Sounds like ur reading the wrong authors

Now I want to hear your reccs for optimistic sci fi

The culture series by Iain M Banks comes to mind. An AI powered interstellar superpower libertarian paradise civilization goes to war with religious zealot aliens.

The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress by Heinlein is really great. Lunar colonists start a rebellion to win independence from their Earthly masters.

In this book the moon is a libertarian paradise peopled by blue collar workers in a hostile environment.

Contrasted with Roddenberry's socialist utopia in Star Trek.

Heinlen's Stranger in a Strange Land imagines a better world through the founding of a new religion that teaches sing song Martian mental powers. It's weird but very good. The best combo.

Heinlein is 🐐ed

The future is always collective, comrade.
