Been working hard this summer to get in great shape.

Trying to build myself a programme for the rest of the year.

1) 100 pushups daily

2) 100 squats daily

3) 10 Pull ups daily (need to work on this, I am not so good at pull ups)

4) Hill Sprints session once a week

5) Walking -10k steps daily

6) Getting 1-2 hours of sunlight daily

7) Carnivore diet

Reason I was asking about lifting weights is because I always injure myself lifting weights and really dont waste money on getting a gym membership 😅

What do you mean by not good at pull ups ? Are you using a bar (hard on the wrists) or gym rings (more natural movement) ?

I am just weak at pull ups. Need to work at it. I can do about 10 atm.

I just go to my local park. I dont have access to a pull bar unfortunately.

Look into gym rings.

Shouldn't be the case. Not if you work on your form, mobility, stabilizers, and warm up well.

All that volume might help you lose weight but you're not going to build muscle. You'll just get very dense and strong.

If you like calisthenics better, you should set up some bars (if you have space), and get gymnastic rings, which you don't need space for. Hang them from a tree.

That’s my point, I am building muscle I have gain like 2 kg just this month.

I am not following the standard advice which is eat lots of calories, eats 2 g of protein per body weight in kg, and lift heavy. In the past when I followed this advice I just got fat tbh.

The quality of the calories is very important.

Bodybuilding works if you want to build muscle, it’s not super functional but you will get larger and stronger for sure.

Stronger at specific movements for a gym, that are mostly useless in real world scenarios.

Hence the, “not super functional” portion of my comment…

Probably newb gains. Size will platou and you'll just get stronger.

Also confirmation that you did lifting wrong.

Just know what your goals are and do what you enjoy, because miserable workouts are unsustainable.

The gym and workout industrial complex had us fooled for years.
