This is absolutely true. I think it bears mention that ruminants digest meat as well because they can’t digest cellulose either, the microbes in their enormous gut however provide complete nutrition. A ruminant animal with gut dysbiosis is in big trouble. People often like to point to monogastric animals like gorillas and horses to bolster their arguments for plant based diets, the truth is both those animals possess a cecum that serves as a microbe breeding chamber, and those microbes, not the cellulose consumed is the main source of nutrition along with ingested starches, protein, and sugars. The sugars largely feed microbes though, that’s why they’re so gassy. 😁

Furthermore there is a Cochran metadata review covered by Dr. Jason Fung that clearly shows that increased consumption of saturated fat after age 40 results in significantly reduced mortality for a variety of reasons. Metabolic syndrome happens to everyone eventually unless you do something meaningful about it. The FDA has experienced regulator capture by the agribusiness sector for at least 70 years. Sure there is money in animal production, but nothing compared to using sugar to make people eat grain and feel no satiety ever. The bottom line is we have all been played, pierce the corporate veil and save yourselves.
