How do clients filter out bad/fake zaps (zaps that have no lightning transaction associated)? Is there a white list of zap note creators?

I want to do a premium relay based on zaps because that would be easier I think.

Zaps sent anon come from random single use public keys. I'm not sure if they use a different note type but if not you should be able to filter out zaps from single use npubs.

Why do you want to use zaps specifically?

I’m not sure I’m completely following on what are bad/fake zaps specifically, but when I was thinking about zaps all I was able to see is that when Alice zaps Bob it is impossible to figure out Bob would’t send those bitcoins back to Alice (and that Alice != Bob) in order to push a note higher in some algo. And it can be completely free for them if they have direct lightning channel open . And those zaps are 100% real.

The only thing I can see as possible to build on trust is something like “ok, Jack and Michael are good guys so zaps they receive are real and we can see which their posts perform better”

Have you figured out how to solve #zaps spam problem?

whitelisting seems to be the only way. like trying collecting good actors from smallish zaps from 9735 events.
