It’s been a while now since I’ve been trying to set up a LN wallet, sadly I’m not able to open an Alby wallet account since it is “invite only”.
Any suggestions or help is highly appreciated.

You're out of the US so you should have ready access to wallet of Satoshi. It's really the easiest one to set started with and I still use it just to spite the ban in the US. 😎
If you can, get something else🤷♀️ I myself have WoS, Bitlifi and Phoenix.
Lifpay, Muun, and minibits are pretty good.
On Alby Connect, you use the keys you already have to get started with the lightning wallet configuration.
