Nicely done! One suggestion though: it would make much more sense to use Mikrotik hardware instead of the RPi. While I love everything RPi related, this might not be the perfect job for it (especially for the Zero).

Nowadays even the most affordable Mikrotik routers support Wireguard out of the box. hAP for example is more or less equally priced as RPi Zero, while being more powerfull and you don't have to worry about SD card corruption (which happens regularly when using swap all the time) or other stability issues. It's also easier to setup as you have a GUI and a ton of tutorials on this subject already.

Having said that, keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to part 2 of the series!

Do you have an easy way to accept scheduled payments to support the kids? For example if I want to send some sats to surfer kids once a month, how do I do it? Do you have a dedicated lightning address only for that cause? On your donation site I can only do one time payments that go to your general crowdfunding campaign.

One Raspberry Pi Zero, one temperature/humidity sensor, four momentary buttons, five leds and a lot of wires later, the S9 now has three predefined heating modes to work with.

Spent last couple of days testing the new heater. Shit works, first sats are in!

I put it in the case even though it still works on ethernet cable. Now I'm playing with the settings. Any suggestions on how to balance max power and fan speed?

A few of the heatsinks fell off during transport, so my first mission of the day was to glue them back to the hashboard.

While waiting for adhesive to do its job, I flashed sd-card with braiins os. And since the hashboards were already out, I also set the jumpers to boot from sd-card.

After the glue hardened I slided the hashboards back in, then mounted the brackets and fans. Now it's almost ready for first flight!

So far it works for me, even though I don't like it. Is there a way in the settings to say "I don't want anything translated ever from any language"? It's very annoying to have to click every possible language once. Like a general off switch for translator?

Reporting that this version crashes instantly on app open for me. Had to revert to 1.00.5 install. All previous 1.x versions worked well. I'm on android 10 without google services though.
