wondering how much is it for a 1Gbps fiber?

Damn!!! That’s some SPEED.

Nice pipe you have!! but careful - you are doxing your public IP.

and if you have a static IP, you can host a fat relay.. :)

I don’t care about doxing my ip. People worried about that are weird

famous people gets ddosed... also no services exposed to the open web?

i doubt people care about ddosing you. also firewalls are a thing

yea, but gl with 100Gbps udp flood.... idk, ddoses are way too cheap these days...

Suppose you use a USB-C hub and add four 1Gbps USB ethernet cards. Probably cheaper than a 10Gbps card. But then bonding, I don't know. Or each could be devoted to different services for tidy segmentation.

This is the type of note you will post a week before you spend $1000+ on UniFy hardware. Just embrace it, you know it will happen...

I setup unifi at monstercat corporate office. Slick hw and sw. not a fan of the massive control plane backdoor

you can selfhost the controller: https://search.nixos.org/options?channel=25.05&show=services.unifi.enable

also some unifi devices we have at home run openwrt

Didnt they recently also published the Site Manager software?

I wish there was something on the same level controlled and deployed through SSH ansible/nix style.

I know there is some Terraform stuff for Mikrotik but I’m not a super fan of their stuff since they tend to strictly adhere to standard so no 7Ghz as far as I know.

He has Eth in his wallet 🤡😜😁

Finally two Netflix streams at the same time possible😎

I miss the days when i had good infrastructure 🥲
