Because I've used it for years and I use it with their email.

Proton is a good service and they accept bitcoin. If only there was a really easy way to run own email server...

They do accept bitcoin, though I've never used it as payment.

I have because I like the idea that they don't know my real identity + the mail is encrypted with my key, so they couldn't trace me even if they wanted... atleast not so easily.

spend bitcoin and replace 🤙🏽

Get the sats economy moving

Sorry, I mean that I've never used bitcoin as payment for Proton. I've used bitcoin as payment for many, many, many things.

TIL proton accept bitcoin 💜

Its a *little* convoluted but it totally works. You buy credits with bitcoin and then pay your sub with credits.

It sounds like your use case is less about anonymity and more about mundane things like getting around the airport WiFi tracking/vulnerabilities. Which is cool, not everyone needs to be anon. Proton is fine for that use case :).

THIS. I use it when I leave my house and connect to WiFi that I do not own. I also use it at my house when I do bitcoin related things. That's it. It's not so much about privacy for me as it is for security. 🤙
