My whole issue is that the majority of people are going to use mobile apps. Browser extensions are a fragmented part of the web and I think the solution bus something completely different than nip7 that is used on mobile and desktop the same way. A different way of logging in depending on the device is confusing and not good. You're asking for an answer to a question that is basically asking how do I make something that's technical, not technical. Real answer, make a solution that doesn't require technical knowledge.

I strongly agree we need it to be easier and require less technical knowledge. Personally I trust apple’s keychain tech and I think that passkey is probably where things are going. If we could let you use that for nostr login to apps, services, and websites, then that’d not require users learning something new. If we need to write help text, and describe how it works, then it’s too complicated.

Yes exactly. A web application with a browser extension login is dead on arrival in my opinion. Since browser extensions don't exist on mobile, logging in with one defeats the whole purpose of a progressive web app being that is supposed to function the same way on any device.

Browser extensions DO exist on mobile, Nostore works on iOS for example. It’s just almost nobody knows it’s possible. I didn’t before last year.

This is news to me too. Thank you for the enlightenment. Browsers in general are all just bad....

I can attest that Nostore works incredibly well and use it everyday with multiple accounts.

I rescind my previous note. Please, excuse my ignorance. I will say Mobile browser extensions need some work before they're ready for mainstream.

I use it on mobile too lol
