I'm a Spooner fan, but he's wrong about that. it's totally legitimate to opt to sell yourself under terms of your own choosing.

My interpretation is that your will is your own. The will to live, for example. You can’t give that will to another.

It's not your will you are giving away, but degrees of freedom of action. "I agree not to leave this property, not to decline to follow orders" etc.
