No one person should be held accountable for the choices another person makes with their body.

Personal responsibility lies at the heart of individual freedom, and any attempt to restore harmony in society must focus on renewing that principle.

Exactly what I said. People have a choice and Ross is not responsible for other people's choices. True liberty means owning the choices you make. So easy to have a scapegoat for all the fucked up shit you may do.

“People have a choice and Ross is not responsible for other people’s choices”

I hope you apply the same logic to your local drug dealer.

My local drug dealer doesn't force people to buy their product. Nice try though

That’s my point right .. neither did Ross

You had sympathy for Ross

Do you have sympathy for the local drug dealer that gets 10-15 years in jail?

I would indeed.

Same logic applies

We have of course.

Free markets for free people.

Trade is not a crime.

No one should decide, what other people are "allowed" to buy or to posses or take in.

Alone the IDEA to let other people decide what's allowed and what not is insane.

As long as private property is respected, anything is "allowed".

Correct.

great artist, your Tarkovsky.

I do think you’re missing one point that is really really important. There are a lot of various nefarious drug dealers out there. They are lacing plain old marijuana with opium opioids fentanyl other more highly addictive drugs, and the people making that choice are being duped.

This is clearly an argument for regulated dispensaries, where you know what you’re getting and I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t use drugs and never will use drugs, but I know of situations in Indiana, where the above is happening all the time.

This is the way.

it's nice to know that you are prochoice. Am I correct in assuming you feel the same way about abortion?

I side with you, 100%.

I here happy Ross is free and all that cool stuff but walk with me

Once upon a time people acting outside the law understood the risks and dealt with the consequences did their time and took it like a man

That’s personal responsibility

Knowingly acting outside of the law getting punished for doing so then crying about your punishment is that taking personal responsibility Jack?

he served his time? i never said otherwise. i dont think he should have gotten two life sentences. i think he committed crime and served his time

Did he commit a crime? He hosted a website. Somebody decided to sell some drugs, someone else to buy drugs. Should that be a crime? It’s only a crime because the government says they want to protect us from the possibility the guy buying the drugs getting high and potentially committing a real crime (theft or harm). The problem with totalitarianism is that it’s a race to the bottom…

It’s funny how people pick and choose when to apply personal responsibility.

Ross was pardoned. Let's recognize the real harm done: years of his life lost, productivity stifled, and freedom denied. Society took a big L. It's time to welcome him back to society with dignity. The rest is between him and his creator.

Thank you for the zap 🫡.
