When I was a department store buyer, I worked in SF a few days every month.

I had a terrible sense of direction and was always trying to save money by walking. It was an education for a small town girl. I spent one Halloween wandering around trick or treating with a group of people I had just met who were all in safari gear with t-shirts that said Querassic Park. They gave me a t-shirt to bring home, which one of my kids immediately claimed as theirs.

SF was fun in the 80s.

Somehow, I always made it home in one piece.

Although I grew up in a NY suburb, I've lived in cities ever since 1975.
